On Wednesday 4 October we hosted an interactive webinar with freelance marketing consultant Jo Burnham. The session introduced a selection of AI tools and techniques and explored how they might be used responsibly by the heritage sector.   • Introduction to some key AI tools (including ChatGPT and more) and thinking about how they might save time or resource and add value in heritage sector, from cataloguing to copy writing.
  • Advice about how to get the best out of AI tools by using the right prompts and giving yourself time to practice and explore.
  • Example exercises, giving you the opportunity to try out some freely available AI tools during the event.
  • Discussion of some of the limitations of these tools and considering how they might best be harnessed in the heritage sector.

About the trainer: Jo Burnham

Jo (all pronouns) is the Marketing Campaigns Manager for Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival, and a freelance marketing consultant and publications manager. They specialise in integrated campaign management, copywriting, and artificial intelligence consultation. Previously they were Marketing Manager of Music Theatre Wales, Publications Officer of Sadler’s Wells, Marketing and Communications Manager of YGAM, and the Communications Manager of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK.
